We've had a busy week preparing for 2nd grade to start! David & I attended Parent Orientation on Tuesday & we took Cade to "meet the teacher" on Thursday. Cade was thrilled to find out he got Mrs. Cole & so far David & I really like her as well. Noelle was thrilled to learn that there is a class Guinea Pig named "Honey" who will be coming home with Cade on a weekend at some point : ) Baseball practice has officially resumed & we even had a scrimmage on Saturday against the Angels. It was Cade's 1st game playing with his new team. He is now playing for the Cubs in Highland Village which is a more competitive division. He seems to be really enjoying it & learning lots so far. Go Cubs! On this last day of summer ... we woke the kids up early & headed to The Snooty Pig for a bite of breakfast ... followed by swimming & cooking chicken & veggies on the grill. A perfect way to end the summer. It's been a wonderful one ... I'm sad to see it end. (Although doesn't look like this heat is ending anytime soon!)
